Assignment for 5/2/14: (Everyone is responsible for turning this in on Monday)
Using the video below to find the basics of how to add lightning to any video you have!
1. Open any project or bloopers you may have, it could be an already completed premiere pro project file or you can start a new one, just make sure if you're using a previous project you re-name it first.
2. Follow the video below to just get started and then add as many lightning bolts as you can in any configuration you want! Of course it won't be just like the video below, but all I want to see is lightning of any kind in your video, and a lot of it! It's sooooo simple! You can even use the bloopers from your video if you want!
4. Have fun!

It's time that everyone start coming up with story or segments ideas for Evergreen today, so this information is important. Watch the video and then tell me two NEW things you learned from the video.
And remember! you can NEVER have too much B-Roll!

Today's video is a review of some things that we should already know in your level of video production but often forget when we are actually shooting or planning our shots. I realize you may have seen this video before.

1. How do you shoot a person using the rule of thirds?
2. When would be an appropriate time to break the rule of thirds?
3. When shooting an "over-the-shoulder" shot how much of the frame should you give the main subject?

Good title sequences can make your video really stand out from the rest of the pack, so don't take them for granted!
Think of them as a little "mini-movie" within your full movie or video.
Take a look at the first video, which is an awesome title sequence, (keep in mind the credits at the end of the first video would not be seen in a true title sequence which is meant to begin a movie or video) then watch the short second video which will give you some interesting insight into how it was made. In your warm up today answer the following questions:
1. What is the purpose of a title sequence?
2. What did you like most about this title sequence?
3. Why did they storyboard EVERY shot?
4. How did I say you should think of your title sequence and why should you not take them for granted?
